About this deal

Casio Wave Ceptor LCW M100TSE-1A2 has a combined dial (analog and digital) that displays date, day of the week, stopwatch, alarm clock and other functions. There's a black version with chunker hands, chunker indices, and a busier chapter ring, a blue version of that previous one, and another one that's like this particular M100 but with arabic instead of non-numeric indices. The watch is equipped with LED illumination of the display, so reading the time at night will be no problem. I have always worn a classic type of watch (lorus or timex usually, or my CWC military issue one which I am fond of).

It is exactly what I was looking for as I am a bit stuck between both the M170 and the 100 model, but also between the steel v titanium versions, and MOST frustratingly, between the positive/negative LCD choices. It may be difficult to see due to some reflection of the glass, but it is within the allowable range. It's my first titanium watch and it's incredibly light - 62g adjusted for my wrist so it's really comfortable, less than half the weight of my Citizen chronograph I was wearing as a daily before. In addition to the calendar function, it has world time, time alarm, stopwatch, timer function, etc.A luminous coating provides long-term illumination in the dark after only a short exposure to light. Another positive is the finishing- each link is brushed but the edges of the 'mid' link (each link is all one piece made to look like 3 pieces) are polished, making the bracelet look higher end than it is. If you lose the tool, you can also just rotate a small screwdriver instead to activate the same effect.

The lugs are short and downturn sharply, which also make the watch smaller than the dimentions suggest.Casio's digital watches are no longer popular today, although analog watches or watches with a combined time display already form a large part of the range. Between the two there's a really killer watch here, but it's like there were two designers at Casio that couldn't get along enough to make just one excellent Lineage, so they decided to make two good ones separately instead. I don't mind thanks to the light, and I would rather have a light than even Superluminova as it's always there and sometimes I need to tell the time in pitch black (fishing at night on a beach for instance! Replacing batteries a simple affair (4 screws), obtaining battery easy also, CTL1616 if memory serves. Goes into a power saving mode which disables the second hand and digital display after an hour in a dimly lit environment, wakes on button press.
