About this deal

In 1962 we were granted the Royal Warrant by Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II, making Hine the official supplier of cognac to the British monarchy. Wandering across the Paradis and Chai des Millésimes, you will discover the singularities of the Hine House, sole official cognac supplier to Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. All the elements of this sophisticated liquid have been aged for more than a decade, developing hints of chocolate and baked apple, and aromas of spices and liquorice.

This is a blend of over 20 different eaux-de-vie, with at least half from Grande Champagne vineyards with the reaminder from Petite Champagne which allows it to be labelled as a Fine Champagne Cognac. It has a soft and citrusy flavour, led by juniper, carefully balanced with coriander seed, angelica root, orris root, winter savory, elderflower and orange peel, all lovingly distilled for a deeply-delicious taste experience. uk accepts no liability for inaccuracies or misstatements about products by manufacturers or other third parties. Hine Rare is a complex cognac with notes of ripe apricot, citrus fruits, oaky with notes of nuts and vanilla. This finesse is the result of two key choices made during the manufacturing of the barrels: the selection of wood with a very fine grain and the light toasting it then receives. For over 260 years, generations of dedicated craftsmen and women have kept a keen eye on ensuring the longevity of our independent and family-owned heritage and recognized know-how that make our Maison’s cognacs one of a kind. This is a very natural product and is probably the only Amaretto available in the UK actually made with almonds. A terrific Cognac from Hine, Rare is classed as Fine Champagne, meaning that the eaux-de-vie used are all from the Grande or Petite Champagne areas, with at least 50% from Grande Champagne.

Light toasted fine-grained wood barrels preserve our cognac's authentic personality that is celebrated around the world. Let us know if we need instructions for where to find your house or want us to leave your wine in the shed! The General Wine Company sources wines from all over the world, but with a particular focus on small, independent producers. Hine owns 80 acres of vines in Grande Champagne that supply 20% of their Grande Champagne needs, allowing a strict control from field to bottle.Check out how we can personalise bottles with engraved messages, engraved images or full colour printed photographs. Founded in 1763, Hine is one of the oldest houses in the Cognac region and named after Thomas Hine of Dorset. Hine Rare VSOP reinterprets the traditional fruity white wine flavours, offering aromas of roasted nectarines, apricots, and melon. Cognac Hine Rare VSOP Cognac (40% ABV) is created from 25 eaux-de-vie aged in the Hine cellars and expertly blended.
